Still Life painting can take you on an intimate journey looking closely at everyday objects. It can be an exploration of the fascinating history and symbolism, as well as of a study of shape, texture, colour, and form. Award-winning artist and educator, Robert Pointer (Bachelor of Arts – Fine Art, BEd) will lead you through four paintings in four lessons. Each class will tackle different concepts and skills. You will study reflections, a variety of textures, colour and brushwork, achieving symmetry and defining form.  We will also explore direct painting, indirect painting, tonalism and chromaticism.

This class is ideal for beginner and intermediate artists.
