Artist and Member of the BMFA Victoria Huntley has created a permanent piece for Bay Haven’s Celebration of Life for their residents who have passed.
We are honoured to see our talented member create something meaningful in our community.
Victoria was born and raised in the Philippines, immigrated to Canada in 1997, and settled in Wasaga Beach in 2006. She began painting during the winters she spent in California as something to challenge her. When she returned home, she realized that Southern Georgian Bay provided a wonderful setting for a landscape artist.
In 2019 she embarked on a new art form that she had dreamed of; stained glass art. Since then she has been creating a number of pieces of stained glass art on live edge wood and received very favourable comments from galleries, artists and the general public.
Her fondest hope is that the great joy she feels in her work is shared by those who view them.
