Janet Liesemer

Painting has been Janet’s passion for many years. After working in the city outside of her field of interest, Janet found herself frustrated by her lack of time and energy for her true passion: art. Her move to Bruce and now Grey County in 2000 brought her back to art where she began a business "Paint by Design", specializing in interior painting and murals. Now, a full-time artist specializing in watercolour and acrylic landscapes, her art reflects her awe of nature and the outdoors. Her love of travel has contributed to her artwork and is a constant source of inspiration. Janet currently resides with her husband, in the picturesque village of Ayton, Ontario. Her work can be seen at Southampton Art Gallery, Dalton Pottery in Ripley and The Spotted Moose in Mount Forest. She is a member of the Saugeen Artist’s Co-op and the Grey County Artists. More than just paintings, her art is an interpretation of subjects using light and colour as her language. It is Janet’s objective that her paintings invoke feelings of peace, serenity and a sense of well-being for the observer.
